We are excited to be a part of this year's StoryTown event. I will be running a Peahen Book Lab with some local children's writers and award-winning illustrator Julia Seal.
There will be fun crafts for mini creatives and an opportunity for people to have their story idea and/or manuscript sent to literary agent InterSaga.
Children can explore rhyme with Elvis author, Helen Brian (not the 'King' a-hu – but the wonderful elephant Elvis, who finds himself in need of a friend when he loses his home). People can meet Claire Vowel, author of the wonderful Nurdle series who will be running a mini workshop. Sarah Surgey is on hand to offer advice on getting published and children's writer and illustrator Julia Seal has some mini monsters up her sleeve.
And there will be me, Carly, founder of Peahen, sharing my love of stories and creating a storybird to put on display in the fab art gallery on Corsham High Street.
Suitable for ALL ages and ALL aspiring children's writers and illustrators – come and see us.
16th October, 15 Martingate Centre, Corsham
"Carly at Peahen Publishing has been simply fantastic. I have been wanting to get my grandma's stories that she wrote us as kids published for so long, but never really knew where to start. Carly made the whole process so easy and enjoyable; the end result is just stunning & has made our whole family so happy. Thank you so much!"
